One interesting way to study a Bible text or passage is with using SOAP. That is, read a verse or passage and then:
S, for Subjective - write how the verse makes you feel.
O, for Objective - write something factual about the verse.
A, for Apply - write how you could apply the verse to your life.
P, for Pray - write a prayer to God based on the verse.
Try it with either one of your favorite verses, one you find hard to understand, or even a random verse or passage.
